In Europe, free-standing blocks of soil, rather than peat pots or seed flats, are almost universally used for starting vegetable and flower seeds, and no containers are needed. The Ladbrooke Soil Blockers Mini Blocker 3/4 Inch lets you create these blocks by filling a blocker with thoroughly moistened potting mix (Quickroot Soilless Potting Mix is perfect), placing the blocker on a seed flat, and releasing. With one stroke you’ll form multiple soil blocks, each with a small depression on top for the seed.
To keep them healthy, it’s important to keep the soil blocks well watered with a fine mist. When the seedlings are ready, plant them in the ground or drop the soil blocks into openings in the tops of larger soil blocks. Imported from England, our soil blockers are the highest quality on the market.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
