Grower's Tip: 
Peat moss bales are used as an additive to new raised bed garden soil. Mix in at least 1 inch of peat moss into the top 7-8 inches of new soil. In other words, at least 1.1 cubic feet per 18 square feet of garden surface. Peat moss amendment helps beginners and experienced gardeners alike; it broaden the ph spectrum for stimulating a greater variety of plants.

Before planting greens, it is recommended to add blood meal organic fertilizer under the plants or mixed into the entire plant row for heavy feeding plants. For fruiting plants, it is recommended to add 25%-50% the rate of blood meal and 75%-100% the rate of fish bone meal fertilizer under the plant or mixed into the entire plant row for heavy feeding (large productive) plants.
