The Bootstrap Farmer Heavy-Duty Broadfork is built for market gardeners and farmers who want to invest in soil longevity and health. Manufactured in the USA with heavy-duty steel and USA-made American Ash hardwood handles, this broadfork measures 24 inches wide with five tines spaced 5 1/2 inches apart, and the 48-inch handles feature an ergonomic design for comfort.
Each tine is 10 15/16 inches from the middle of the base to the tip, 2 3/8 inches wide near the bar and tapers to 3/4 inch, and is 1/4 inch thick. Wood grain color variation is noted. The tool promotes beneficial microbes and earthworms, enhances aeration and water penetration, and reduces soil erosion to improve soil structure and minimize the need for chemical fertilizers or pesticides. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
