BierKashi Bokashi is a compost starter made from recycled Organic spent beer grains sourced from Protector Brewing Company, San Diego's first and only Organic brewery. This substrate is up-cycled with Organic Red Flaky Wheat Bran to feed the BrewKashi Microbial Inoculum, including LactoBacillus Casei and other natural farming inputs that nourish the microbes. The mix is fermented in 200 lb batches for three weeks and then dried for storage, creating a stable, ready-to-use product for soil health and waste reduction.
Top uses include odor elimination, where lactic acid microbes help counter odor-causing microbes in settings like chicken coops, cat litter boxes, and reptile enclosures. It also supports food scrap recycling and composting, enabling the fermentation of meat and dairy so more kitchen waste becomes garden soil. Packaging is biodegradable and reusable: a burlap sack with a biodegradable liner, shipped with non reinforced paper tape to minimize plastic. Every order plants 1 tree for reforestation. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
