Peat moss bales are used as additives to new garden bed soil. Mix in 1 inch of peat moss into the top 7 inches of new soil. Break up the compressed peat moss as you spread it. The rate is also stated as 1.1 to 1.4 cubic feet per 18 square feet of garden surface. Peat moss amendment helps beginners and experienced gardeners alike; it broaden the ph spectrum for stimulating a greater variety of plants. You must heavily water a few times to wet the peat moss before planting.
When you buy soil delivery from soil911.com, peat moss orders are delivered for free at the same time as the soil. Peat moss can also be picked up at our Trinity office, we contact you after purchase.
Grower's Tip:
Before planting greens, it is recommended to add blood meal organic fertilizer under the plants or mixed into the entire plant row for heavy feeding plants. For fruiting plants, it is recommended to add 25% the rate of blood meal and 75%-100% the rate of fish bone meal under the plant or mixed into the entire plant row for heavy feeding (large productive) plants. BULK LOCAL DELIVERY:
Bulk products marked with free shipping will be free shipping at checkout. Otherwise, bulk per cubic yard delivery fee is confirmed during checkout by using your delivery address. You can message us or call for help or advice, 727-645-5289.
One small truckload full capacity: 9yd soil, 9yd compost, 10yd mulch, 5yd fill, 7yd contractor mix.
One large truckload maximum capacity: 20yd soil, 20yd compost, 20yd mulch, 18yd fill, 20yd contractor mix.
The best value is always a maximum truckload for your particular product.
We can bring mulch, compost and soil at the same time, quantities vary depending on the products needed. You must contact us to request a quote in this circumstance.
If you order soil, dirt, compost or mulch online, we will contact you shortly after purchase to schedule your delivery. We often can do same day deliveries, message us or call 727-645-5289.
The small truck delivery is generally 1 to 3 work days notice M-Sa and the big truck delivery is generally 1 to 5 work days notice, M-F. If you have a specific day and time in mind then it's best to make your purchase A.S.A.P in order to ensure the day and time you need is available.
BULK LOCAL DELIVERY RETURNS:
There are no returns or exchanges once the bulk product is delivered. Most of our popular bulk garden supplies weigh 800 to 2000 lbs per cubic yard and require heavy trucks and equipment to move in bulk.
BULK LOCAL REFUNDS:A refund can be processed if you cancel an order at least 2 hours before the start of your scheduled pickup or delivery day time frame. There's no refund within 2 hours of your scheduled delivery day time frame. A 6% credit card processing/restocking fee will be deducted from your refund amount. The refund balance will be distributed to you once the order is canceled and the returned product is received and processed.
