Grow your own tropical paradise with Strelitzia seeds from this collection, featuring two iconic species. Strelitzia Reginae, the Orange Bird of Paradise, forms a bush-like plant with sword-shaped leaves and bright orange flowers. Strelitzia Nicolai, the White Bird of Paradise, grows into a tall tree with larger leaves and white flowers. If you’re unsure which to grow, you can try both.

To start, pull the orange tufts from the seeds and lightly scarify the seed coats if you wish. Soak seeds in warm-to-hot water for 1–2 days, then plant in a moist medium. Cover with a humidity dome to foster condensation, keep temperatures consistently above 70F, and provide bright, indirect light. For sowing, use a 12 Cavity Greenhouse or Planter with Humidity Dome, or Soil Pellets or Soil Pods with Liquid Fertilizer. These seeds are for the 2026 growing season.
