Pinguicula Florian is a hybrid of Pinguicula debbertiana and Pinguicula jaumavensis 'Pale purple flower', created in 1998–1999 by Oliver Gluchs and registered as a cultivar in 2004. Under strong lights it can turn bright red and produce about 25 carnivorous leaves and up to 100 non-carnivorous leaves in winter, depending on care. The plants are between 0.75 and 1 inch in diameter and are shipped bare root in a plastic container.
Shippings occur on Monday and Wednesday to avoid weekend cutoffs. A heating pack is strongly recommended in winter to protect the plant during transit; one heating pack per order is sufficient.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
