Pinguicula jaumavensis x cyclosecta is a small butterwort that can take on a purplish hue under full spectrum lights. The plant pictured is representative, and you will receive a similar plant; it is not flowering at the moment. To protect the plant during transit, it ships bare root in a plastic container. We ship on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs, and each plant measures about 0.75–1 inch in diameter.
Care details include bright, full light and a Mexican Pinguicula mix for potting. Keep the soil moist and maintain humidity between 50% and 80% with a temperature range of 55–85°F. Mature plants reach about 1.5 inches in size, depending on care; there is no dormancy, though the plant may enter a succulent state in winter if temperatures drop. Feed with fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks. For winter transit, a heating pack is strongly recommended—one heating pack per order is enough.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
