Pinguicula cyclosecta is a perennial heterophyllous species, producing summer rosettes of 6-12 carnivorous leaves and winter rosettes of 35-80 succulent leaves. It is the smallest of the orchid-flowered butterworts. The epithet cyclosecta comes from Latin cyclus (circle, wheel) and sectionem (a cutting, division or part), referencing the circular outline of the corolla. The plants pictured are representative; you will receive a similar plant that is about 1 inch in diameter and currently not flowering. Some plants may appear greener, but can turn dark or purplish with time under intense light. Plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container. We ship on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend delays. Heating pack is strongly recommended in winter, with 1 pack per order sufficient.
