Color-shifting foliage is driven by light, not luck. Philodendron Florida Ghost is a fast-growing, climbing philodendron known for pale, chlorophyll-delayed new leaves that emerge cream to yellow-white, transition through mint tones, and gradually harden to matte green as chlorophyll develops. This color cycle is a predictable physiological response tied to light intensity, nutrient availability, and growth rate. Brighter, diffuse light will extend the ghosted phase, while lower light speeds the transition to green.
As the plant matures with support, leaves develop deeper lobing; juvenile leaves are simpler and ovate, while adult leaves take on the familiar multi-lobed silhouette. This variety is not the Mint Ghost cultivar, though soft mint tones may appear during transition depending on lighting, humidity, and feeding. Availability options include an exact 3" pot plant pictured, actively climbing with a growth point and mint-toned transitioning leaf, fully rooted and established; and a larger 4" Grower’s Choice plant from the same crop, rooted, stable, and ready for support; pattern and leaf tone vary naturally.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
