The 3-inch window-sill-compatible cup weighs 4 ounces and keeps beet growing compact and accessible for beginners.
Inside, the compressed soil disc expands when water is added to become the growing medium for Beta vulgaris. Plant seeds at a depth of 1/2 inch in the expanded medium, keep the soil consistently moist, and place the cup where it receives 4-6 hours of direct sunlight daily; germination occurs in 7-14 days at 50-85°F. When cotyledon leaves reach about 2 inches, thin seedlings to 3-4 inch spacing. Greens can be harvested at 30 days, or transplanted to a deeper container for root development at 55-70 days. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
