Le bananier Bordelon (Musa 'Bordelon') est un bananier ornemental saisissant, connu pour son feuillage éclatant et son apparence unique. Cette beauté tropicale est appréciée pour ses grandes feuilles en forme de pagaie qui présentent une combinaison spectaculaire de verts profonds et de riches teintes bordeaux. Bien que principalement cultivé pour son feuillage magnifique, le bananier Bordelon peut également produire de petites bananes comestibles dans des conditions optimales. Le bananier Bordelon est surtout connu pour son feuillage spectaculaire. Ses grandes feuilles en forme de pagaie ont une surface supérieure vert foncé avec un dessous marron frappant. Les jeunes feuilles ont souvent une teinte rougeâtre qui s'assombrit progressivement à mesure qu'elles mûrissent. Cette coloration fait de la plante un élément remarquable dans tout jardin tropical ou subtropical.
Bien que le bananier Bordelon soit principalement cultivé comme plante ornementale, il peut produire de petites bananes non comestibles si cultivé dans les bonnes conditions. Les fleurs sont typiques des bananiers, apparaissant sous forme de grande inflorescence avec des bractées qui révèlent les petites fleurs tubulaires.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
