El acebo de Yaupón ( Ilex vomitoria ) es un arbusto o pequeño árbol nativo, resistente y perenne, que ha nutrido y revitalizado a los habitantes del sureste durante siglos. Presente de forma natural en las costas de Florida, los pinares y las zonas de hamacas, el acebo de Yaupón es apreciado por sus bayas rojas brillantes , su follaje denso y brillante , y sus hojas con cafeína, siendo la única planta nativa de Norteamérica con cafeína natural. Sus pequeñas flores blancas de primavera atraen a los polinizadores, y sus bayas alimentan a las aves cantoras y a la fauna silvestre durante el invierno, lo que le confiere una vitalidad ecológica y una profunda belleza en cualquier estación.
Importancia cultural y herbaria
Mucho antes de que el café y el té llegaran a América, los pueblos indígenas, como los timucua, los creek y los cherokee, preparaban un té estimulante con hojas de yaupón, conocido como "bebida negra". Se consumía en ceremonias y en la vida diaria para concentrarse, obtener energía y purificarse. These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
