¡Otra de nuestras frutas favoritas! El tamarindo se adapta a una amplia gama de condiciones de cultivo y crece de maravilla y sin esfuerzo en Florida, especialmente en el sur.
El tamarindo es una planta perenne de la familia de las leguminosas, con hojas plumosas y pinnadas, flores rojas y amarillas, y vainas largas y rugosas que maduran de abril a junio. La pulpa agridulce que rodea las semillas se utiliza en la cocina, la medicina tradicional y como pulidor de metales para cobre y bronce.
El tamarindo es originario de África tropical y es apreciado en las cocinas del Caribe, India, México y Centroamérica, así como en zonas tropicales y subtropicales de todo el mundo. Las semillas y las hojas son comestibles, y la pulpa que rodea las semillas puede consumirse cruda o utilizarse en chutneys, dulces, adobos, salsas y bebidas. Además, el tamarindo es un ingrediente aromatizante de la salsa Worcestershire.
Se utiliza en la medicina tradicional para tratar la fiebre, la malaria y los problemas digestivos. La corteza y las hojas también se han empleado para curar heridas. La medicina moderna está estudiando otros usos del tamarindo y lo recomienda como suplemento para mejorar la salud.
El tamarindo es un árbol hermoso y de textura fina que prefiere pleno sol en suelos ricos y bien drenados. Tolera diversos suelos, incluso arcillosos, y no le importa el pH del suelo. Riegue el árbol nuevo el primer año y abónelo cada 2 o 3 meses mientras se establece. Pode el árbol para mantener su forma y retire la madera muerta.
El tamarindo es una leguminosa originaria de África tropical. Los tamarindos pueden alcanzar alturas impresionantes, entre 9 y 30 metros en el hábitat adecuado. Sin embargo, también son bonsáis muy apreciados y pueden podarse y mantenerse en tamaños impresionantemente pequeños.

Worked like an absolute charm!
These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
