La ruda, también conocida como hierba de gracia, es una planta perenne de pequeño tamaño que crece de 60 a 90 cm de altura, con un delicado follaje azul verdoso y pequeñas flores de color amarillo brillante. Pertenece a la familia de los cítricos (Rutaceae) y es originaria de los Balcanes y el sureste de Europa, donde se utiliza como saborizante amargo en las cocinas tradicionales del Mediterráneo oriental.
La naturaleza arbustiva de la ruda, su encantador follaje y sus flores la convierten en un excelente seto bajo, borde o planta de maceta. Las flores amarillas que florecen en junio y julio atraen a las mariposas, pero las hojas, muy fragantes, desprenden un fuerte aroma al aplastarlas y también pueden repeler insectos. Plantada en el jardín, la ruda es un eficaz repelente de insectos. Es la hierba nacional de Lituania y, en el sureste de Europa, se ganó la reputación de hierba mágica protectora y a menudo se plantaba en las puertas para ahuyentar a los malos espíritus.
La ruda es una planta de crecimiento rápido y bajo mantenimiento. Es resistente a los ciervos y tolerante a la sequía una vez establecida, y crecerá en una variedad de suelos siempre que tengan un buen drenaje. Crece mejor a pleno sol, pero tolera la sombra ligera y es resistente en las zonas 4 a 10 del USDA.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
