La Monstera deliciosa, también conocida como planta de queso suizo o filodendro de hoja dividida, es una planta perenne muy ornamental y frutal, originaria de las zonas tropicales de México y Centroamérica. Se puede cultivar tanto en interiores como en exteriores y es muy apreciada por su fruto exótico, convirtiéndose en una planta de interior tropical única. La Monstera produce grandes y vistosas flores blancas que dan lugar a una increíble fruta tropical con un sabor a mango, plátano y piña. La planta crece rápidamente y requiere muy poco mantenimiento.
Su nombre proviene de la palabra latina que significa "anormal", debido a sus hojas extrañas y perforadas, a menudo con agujeros. Esto se conoce como fenestración foliar. Resistente y hermosa, la Monstera posee hojas grandes, brillantes y abiertas que pueden alcanzar un increíble tamaño de 60 a 120 cm. Los cultivadores se maravillan con el impresionante crecimiento de las hojas nuevas en uno o dos días. Cultivada al aire libre a la sombra, la Monstera prosperará durante muchos años. La Monstera puede crecer con un porte algo frondoso, pero también trepa con facilidad por grandes robles.

Esta planta no solo es un elemento destacado en tu hogar, sino que también merece un lugar destacado en tu bosque de alimentos. La Monstera produce una fruta única y deliciosa, muy codiciada por su singular sabor tropical. Debe dejarse madurar naturalmente antes de consumirla. Colóquela en posición vertical en un vaso durante 2 o 3 días. Al madurar, la cáscara exterior, no comestible, se desprenderá naturalmente, revelando la pulpa interior, blanda y comestible.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
