El arbusto (Ardisia squamulosa) es un arbusto o árbol perenne que crece todo el año en ecosistemas del centro y sur de Florida, como playas costeras, zonas de hamacas y pinares rocosos. Florece y produce frutos desde el verano hasta el otoño. Este fruto es una fuente natural de alimento para aves y pequeños animales, y también comestible para los humanos. Su denso follaje ofrece refugio y cobijo a la fauna silvestre, y al plantarse en hileras forma un hermoso seto comestible.
Sus fragantes flores pueden ser de color blanco cremoso o rosado, con anteras amarillas claramente visibles, y nacen en densas panículas terminales o axilares. Las hojas, gruesas y de color verde oscuro, son brillantes, de lanceoladas a elípticas y tienden a curvarse hacia arriba. Son pecioladas y se disponen de forma alterna. Los márgenes foliares son enteros. La corteza es lisa, delgada y de color gris blanquecino. Los frutos comienzan como pequeñas drupas de color verde a rojizo que se tornan brillantes y negras al madurar. Cada fruto contiene una sola semilla dura.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
