La hierba limón es una gramínea que forma matas con hojas largas, delgadas y arqueadas. Es perenne en zonas tropicales y subtropicales, pero crece como anual en climas más fríos. Existen varias especies de hierba limón, pero la más utilizada es la fragante Cymbopogon citratus, originaria del sudeste asiático.
La hierba limón es una planta con múltiples funciones. Es apreciada por sus propiedades repelentes de insectos, especialmente mosquitos, y sus aceites se utilizan en desinfectantes y productos de limpieza. Es rica en hierro, calcio y vitamina C, y se utiliza ampliamente como hierba medicinal para problemas digestivos, hipertensión y para reducir la fiebre. En la medicina ayurvédica, la hierba limón se utiliza como antioxidante, antiinflamatorio y antifúngico.
Su esencia dulce y alimonada es un condimento popular en la cocina asiática, y la infusión de limoncillo se utiliza para aliviar la ansiedad, el dolor y favorecer el sueño. Además, la fresca fragancia a limón de su aceite se utiliza en aromaterapia, jabones y perfumes.
Esta hermosa hierba también se cultiva como ornamental de 60 cm de alto por 90 cm de ancho, a pleno sol o semisombra, en suelos francos y húmedos con alto contenido de materia orgánica. Se puede cosechar durante todo el año y es resistente en las zonas USDA 9-11, pero también se puede cultivar como anual de verano en climas más fríos. ¡El limoncillo también es ideal para el cultivo en macetas!

These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
