La Iboza, también conocida como Arbusto de Incienso, y cuyo nombre científico es Tetradenia riparia o Iboza riparia, es un arbusto semipersistente robusto y aromático originario de las tierras altas de Sudáfrica. Reconocida por su follaje exuberante y aterciopelado y su llamativa exhibición floral, la Iboza crece vigorosamente, formando densos racimos de hojas que son visualmente agradables y altamente fragantes.
Las hojas de la Iboza son anchas, ligeramente aserradas y cubiertas de pelos suaves, lo que les da una textura única. Al triturarlas, liberan un fuerte aroma especiado que recuerda a la nuez moscada, lo que convierte a esta planta en una de las favoritas entre quienes aprecian los jardines fragantes. Durante los meses más fríos de finales de invierno a principios de primavera, la Iboza produce abundantes racimos de flores pequeñas y delicadas. Estas flores varían en color desde el blanco hasta el lavanda pálido y atraen a una gran cantidad de polinizadores, lo que añade valor ecológico a su atractivo ornamental.
Además de sus atributos estéticos, la Iboza es venerada en la medicina tradicional por sus propiedades terapéuticas. Históricamente se ha utilizado para tratar una variedad de dolencias, desde resfriados y gripe hasta dolores de cabeza y problemas digestivos. Se cree que los aceites esenciales de la planta tienen propiedades antiinflamatorias y antimicrobianas, lo que contribuye a su uso medicinal.
El nombre Iboza deriva de la palabra zulú que se refiere a las hojas aromáticas. La cultura zulú del sur de África ha utilizado esta planta durante siglos para aliviar problemas respiratorios, dolores de estómago y dolores de cabeza, simplemente triturando e inhalando las hojas o haciendo un té con ellas.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
