La Hoja Santa, también conocida como planta de pimienta mexicana , planta de pimienta de Veracruz, planta de cerveza de raíz o planta de falsa kava, es una hierba perenne y resistente. La Hoja Santa es originaria del norte de Sudamérica y México. Su nombre nativo significa "Hoja Sagrada".
Sus hojas gigantes, aterciopeladas y con forma de corazón, alcanzan los 25 cm o más de longitud. Tanto las hojas como las flores son muy aromáticas y llenas de sabor. Su sabor es muy complejo, con deliciosas notas de regaliz, eucalipto, sasafrás, anís, nuez moscada, menta, estragón y pimienta negra. La planta se extiende desde el tubérculo y brota rápidamente numerosos brotes.
Sus hojas grandes y fragantes se utilizan frescas en la cocina mexicana para preparar tamales, envolver pescado o carne y como ingrediente esencial del auténtico mole verde, la salsa verde originaria de la región de Oaxaca, México. La hoja santa fresca también se puede picar para dar sabor a sopas y ensaladas. A pesar de su popularidad culinaria, las hojas frescas son muy difíciles de encontrar en supermercados o mercados, por lo que cultivar esta resistente planta en casa es una excelente idea.

These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
