El perejil de raíz (Petroselinum crispum), también conocido como perejil holandés, perejil de Hamburgo y perejil de raíz, no debe confundirse con el perejil de hoja. Si planta perejil rizado o perejil italiano de hoja plana esperando una raíz grande y comestible, se decepcionará. Sin embargo, si planta perejil de raíz, obtendrá una raíz grande similar a la de la chirivía, además de hojas verdes que se pueden cosechar y rebrotar durante todo el verano.
Instrucciones sobre cómo cultivar perejil:
Cultive las plantas a pleno sol o sombra parcial.
Antes de plantar, trabaje la tierra hasta 30 cm de profundidad, retirando piedras, ramas y escombros. Si la tierra está dura, añada abundante marga, compost o turba. Esto permitirá que las raíces se desarrollen sin obstáculos.
El suelo debe ser rico y bien drenado.
Mantenga la tierra húmeda, no mojada. La tierra seca hará que las raíces se bifurquen y se abran.
