Una variedad temprana para cultivar en exterior e invernadero (70-75 días). Fruto largo y delgado con sabor a pepino. El pepino armenio crece aproximadamente de 38 a 63 cm de largo. Cultive la planta a pleno sol. El fruto alcanza su máximo sabor cuando alcanza los 30 a 38 cm de largo.
Instrucciones sobre cómo cultivar pepino:
Las plantas de pepino se siembran o trasplantan al exterior no antes de dos semanas después de la última helada. Los pepinos son muy susceptibles a las heladas; la temperatura del suelo debe ser de al menos 21 °C para la germinación. ¡No los plante demasiado pronto!
Antes de plantar en el exterior, seleccione un sitio con pleno sol.
El suelo debe ser neutro o ligeramente alcalino con un pH de 7,0.
Los pepinos requieren tierra fértil. Mezcle compost o estiércol maduro antes de plantar, a una profundidad de 5 cm, e incorpórelo en la tierra de 15 a 20 cm. Asegúrese de que la tierra esté húmeda y bien drenada, no empapada.
Mejore el suelo arcilloso añadiendo materia orgánica. Mejore el suelo denso y pesado añadiendo turba, compost o estiércol descompuesto. Los suelos ligeros y arenosos son preferibles para los jardines del norte, ya que se calientan rápidamente en primavera.
Plante las plántulas a una profundidad de 2,5 cm y con una separación de entre 91 y 152 cm, según la variedad. Para vides en espaldera, separe las plantas a 30 cm de distancia.
Para una cosecha temprana, siembre las semillas de pepino en el interior unas 3 semanas antes de trasplantarlas al suelo. Requieren una temperatura de base de unos 21 °C (70 °F).
Un enrejado es una buena idea si quieres que la vid trepe o si tienes espacio limitado.
