El algarrobo, también conocido como pan de San Juan, es un árbol perenne de larga vida de la familia Fabaceae, relacionado con la Clitoria ternatea y el frijol láblab. La planta nativa de Oriente Medio desarrolla un dosel plumoso de hojas de color verde oscuro y coriáceas sobre un tronco de corteza retorcida de color marrón rojizo. Debido a que sus hojas tardan en quemarse, muchos cultivan algarrobos como barrera contra incendios.
En otoño se desarrollan racimos de flores rojas de un solo sexo, que atraen a abejas y moscas con su fragancia almizclada. Para polinizar, el algarrobo requiere un segundo árbol del sexo opuesto para producir vainas. Estas vainas madurarán en vainas brillantes de color marrón y fibra dura con semillas que traquetean cuando están maduras.
Su uso principal es culinario. ¿Necesitas un sustituto del chocolate? Prueba la pulpa dulce y parecida a un frijol del algarrobo con propiedades de sabor similares al cacao, ¡menos la teobromina que induce la migraña! ¡Cómela directamente o sécala hasta convertirla en polvo!

These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
