A pesar de su origen tropical, pocas frutas son tan omnipresentes como el banano. Si bien la Musa acuminata es originaria del Sudeste Asiático, se la conoce como una de las primeras plantas domesticadas. Hoy en día, el banano es un alimento básico en todos los aspectos de la vida, desde dietas saludables hasta la cultura pop. Esto aplica también al banano 'Grand Nain' (también escrito Grande Naine), que se vende por manojo como plátano 'Chiquita'. Esta variedad representa la mitad de los 100 mil millones de plátanos que se consumen anualmente en todo el mundo.
«Chiquita Banana» se registró como marca registrada en 1947 y Carmen Miranda, la dama con corona de plátano que aparece en las etiquetas azules de los productos, se convirtió en un nombre muy conocido. Esta representación de Miranda sigue siendo un estereotipo hoy en día, pero en su momento, sin duda, introdujo la música brasileña y la cultura latina a personas de todo el mundo.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
