El bambú Oldhamii, también conocido como bambú de brote dulce, es uno de los bambúes de crecimiento aglomerado más versátiles, elegantes y apreciados en el cultivo. Originaria de Taiwán, esta especie tropical es apreciada por sus tiernos y dulces brotes comestibles, su resistencia al frío y sus elegantes y erguidos tallos que pueden alcanzar entre 15 y 19 metros de altura. A pesar de su impresionante tamaño, el Oldhamii se mantiene aglomerado y no es invasivo, lo que lo convierte en un favorito para jardines sostenibles, paisajes comestibles y cortavientos.
Conocido como uno de los mejores bambúes culinarios, el Oldhamii produce abundantes brotes en primavera, suaves, crujientes y fáciles de preparar, perfectos para salteados, sopas y encurtidos. Su rápido crecimiento y su denso follaje lo hacen excelente para crear pantallas de privacidad, cercas vivas y para el control de la erosión, especialmente en regiones subtropicales.
El Oldhamii es también uno de los bambúes tropicales más tolerantes al frío, soportando temperaturas de hasta -6 °C, lo que lo convierte en una excelente opción para los cultivadores de las zonas USDA 8 a 11. Sus tallos verdes, rectos y lisos también se utilizan en artesanía y construcción ligera.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
