El Bambú Negro Asper, también conocido como Bambú Negro de Timor, es un bambú aglutinante raro y altamente ornamental, apreciado tanto por sus cañas de color púrpura oscuro a negro como por sus tiernos brotes comestibles. Originario de la isla de Timor en Indonesia, este espectacular bambú tropical crece hasta alcanzar una impresionante altura de 15 a 21 metros (50 a 70 pies), formando elegantes cañas verticales que maduran lentamente a un rico color negro con la edad y la exposición al sol.
Aunque es impresionante a la vista, el Asper Negro también es muy funcional. Sus brotes jóvenes son comestibles y deliciosos, ideales para usar en salteados, curries y platos tradicionales. Aunque más pequeños y firmes que los del Asper Gigante (Bambusa asper), estos brotes siguen siendo valorados por su sabor suave y textura crujiente.
Como especie aglutinante y no invasiva, el Asper Negro es un sueño para cultivar en bosques alimentarios tropicales y subtropicales. Es una audaz planta ornamental, pantalla de privacidad natural o seto vivo, que ofrece estructura de rápido crecimiento, sombra y control de la erosión. Como todos los bambúes tropicales, prefiere climas cálidos y prospera en las Zonas 9 a 11 del USDA.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
