Los árboles de aguacate Choquette son una variedad autopolinizante de Persea americana, cultivada por Remi D. Choquette Sr. en Miami, Florida. Perteneciente a la familia de las Lauráceas, al igual que todas las demás variedades de aguacate , este árbol frutal perenne tropical/subtropical es una variedad de temporada tardía que produce abundantes cosechas desde finales de otoño hasta el invierno, con un peso aproximado de 1,3 kg por fruto.
Con una altura de hasta 9 metros, el aguacate Choquette ocupa menos espacio que algunas variedades más grandes, lo que lo convierte en una excelente opción para un bosque de alimentos que busca ahorrar espacio. Además, tiene una tolerancia relativa al frío, soportando olas de hasta -4 °C. Es un placer ver florecer los árboles, que se llenan de pequeñas flores de color verde amarillento y un follaje denso.
Apodados cariñosamente "Pera Caimán" o "Aguacate de Florida" debido a su origen, los Aguacates Choquette son frutos de color verde intenso, brillantes y fáciles de pelar. Bajo su piel correosa, revelan un mesocarpio (pulpa) rico y cremoso con un toque de aroma a piña, perfecto para batidos, guacamole, mascarillas faciales o simplemente para untar en tostadas.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
