Yanang Grass Jelly Vine Plant (Tiliacora triandra) is a tropical perennial vine native to Southeast Asia. It is valued for culinary and medicinal use in Northeast Thailand and Laos. The plant climbs, with deep green leaves, yellow flowers, and red spherical fruit. Leaves are prized for their thickening properties, cooling effects, and potential health benefits. It contains Vitamin A, B-carotene, Phosphorus, Polyphenols, Flavonoids, alkaloids, and minerals.
Mimic the humid, sunny conditions and acidic soil of its native habitats; yanang is hardy and adapts to well-drained, sunny, and well-watered conditions. Harvest leaves for yanang juice. Gelatinous properties come from bruising and mashing leaf clippings; or blend with 2 cups cold water and strain. In Thailand and Laos, yanang juice is sold in markets and used as a thickener for bamboo shoot soup.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
