Meet the Dionaea muscipula ‘Werewolf,’ a mutant Venus flytrap with claw-like traps that set it apart from standard varieties. The traps’ teeth form a starburst, and the plant has no trigger hairs, so it cannot be closed by touch. Despite that, it remains a distinctive VFT that grows when light and water are available. Each plant ships in a 2.5" pot as a young specimen about 2–3" across and comes with care instructions. Shipped via First class mail.
To keep it healthy, place it in full sun and use a peat-based potting medium (peat & perlite or pure peat). Feed with fish food or small bugs every 3–4 weeks, and water via the tray method, maintaining 50-85% humidity. Expect spring and summer temperatures of 65-80°F, dropping to 35-55°F in colder months. The plant’s mature size depends on care, and it enters winter dormancy from October through February or into March, requiring reduced watering.
