Meet the Twin XL College Dorm Heavy Duty Black Metal Platform Bed Frame—a sturdy steel platform designed for taller dorm beds. The heavy-duty steel slats provide robust support and help extend mattress life, while an extra reinforced leg structure minimizes squeaks and prevents sliding. A recessed design keeps the mattress in place, and the 14-inch height creates ample under-bed storage.
Setup is fast: the bed can be assembled in less than 10 minutes with all tools included, such as wrenches, screws, and picture-based instructions. The mattress sits embedded in the steel frame to prevent sliding, with multiple points of floor contact for level support. Horizontal rails are spaced 6 inches apart to support heavier loads. The frame is designed as an integrated structure to simplify setup in about 20 minutes or less. Legs have two holes to attach a headboard or footboard (headboard brackets are not included). Dimensions are 80 x 38 x 14 inches; weight is 42 pounds.
