Thai Eggplant, also called Thai Aubergine or Makua Puang, is a small, round variety in the Solanaceae family from Southeast Asia. It is a staple in Thai and Southeast Asian cuisines, valued for its crunchy texture and a mildly bitter yet light flavor. Fruits are small and round, typically light green with white or pale yellow stripes, with firm flesh that absorbs flavors and stays crunchy when cooked. They are low in calories. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
