Sweetgrass is a very fragrant medicinal herb, valued for its warm, sweet aroma. Although it is quite rare and hard to find, this Sweetgrass Plant is extremely easy to grow and can be planted in the ground or in containers.
It spreads through underground rhizomes and has an extensive, shallow root system, allowing it to grow with other grasses and shrubs. A single plant can develop into a thick patch of grass in about six months and can be harvested once or twice a year. Dried leaves are sturdy and suitable for baskets and natural beauty products (creams, lotions, perfumes, etc.). Traditionally, Native Americans regarded the plant as sacred and used it ceremonially in prayer, smudging, and purifying ceremonies. The scent is stronger when moistened or burned, and it intensifies as the grass dries. When burned, it smolders rather than producing an open flame.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
