The plant thrives in full sun and well-draining soil and reaches maturity in 60–70 days, enabling an early and continuous summer harvest. Vigorous vines are productive and perform well when trellised, saving space and improving airflow for healthier plants.
Originally introduced from Armenia to Italy in the 1400s, this heirloom cucumber is also known as Painted Serpent. Botanically, it belongs to Cucumis melo (flexuosus group). The variety is resistant to common cucumber diseases and produces a steady harvest when picked regularly. Each pack contains about 50 seeds.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
