The Stainless Steel Winch for Aluminum Flagpole is designed for butt diameters of 6 inches or larger. It is a gearless winch with cast bronze internal brakes that release when a winch handle is inserted and rotated; the brake engages when the handle is removed, allowing the winch to be locked at any position.
The winch mounts inside the flagpole using two 5/16"-18NC stainless steel bolts with mounting centers of 3.5 inches. It is designed for use with 1/8 inch stainless steel cable. Small size is generally used on flagpoles up to 45 feet, Large size on 50 feet to 80 feet, and X-Large for poles higher than 80 feet. Handles are not included.
