Spice Wood Tree Myrcia Neopallens Endangered
Spice Wood Tree, also known as the Pale Lidflower Tree, is native to South Florida where it is endangered, and it also grows in Mexico, the West Indies, and Central America. It typically reaches 15–20 feet tall with a narrow crown, glossy evergreen leaves, white flowers, and colorful fruit.
White to cream flowers bloom March through September with a sweet fragrance, and the leaves release a spicy scent when crushed. Red and black berries ripen in fall and are edible; dried leaves can be brewed into herbal tea. In the West Indies, Spice Wood tea is used to treat upset stomachs, diarrhea, sleeplessness, and fatigue. Birds eat the berries, and butterflies and hummingbirds are attracted to its nectar. It can be used as an accent shrub, hedge, foundation planting, or espalier in full sun to partial shade.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
