Bidens alba, commonly known as Shepherd's Needle Plant, Spanish Needles, Beggarticks, or Butterfly Needles, is a hardy, fast-growing wildflower native to Florida and much of the Americas. It attracts pollinators with bright white daisy-like flowers that have yellow centers and bloom nearly year-round in warm climates, providing nectar for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial insects.
It can behave as a perennial or a self-seeding annual, growing 1–4 feet tall and spreading quickly. It thrives in full sun and a wide range of soils, from poor sandy soils to fertile garden beds, and is drought-tolerant once established. It propagates easily from seeds, which cling to clothing and fur for dispersal. Beyond ornamental value, the plant supports biodiversity and can be used for naturalizing, erosion control, or wildflower gardens. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
