Sinningia Mix "Gloxinia" seeds grow into a caudiciform plant with bell-shaped flowers. Germination takes place within 12 weeks when sown in a greenhouse setup using a 12 Cavity Greenhouse with 6 Soil Pellets, in a moist, well-draining medium of potting mix and perlite, with seeds planted on the surface and lightly covered with sand. Keep the medium consistently moist and bright at about 70–85°F until germination, then gradually let the soil dry a little between waterings as seedlings develop.
Seed prep options include pre-soak, scarification, stratification, or none. Depth: sprinkle on soil and lightly cover. Spacing: 2–3 seeds per planter. My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
