Red Root Floater (Phyllanthus fluitans) is a floating freshwater plant prized for its vivid red roots and red-tinged leaves that deepen under strong light. Its round, spade-shaped leaves spread across the water’s surface, providing shade and helping reduce excess light that can fuel algae. The plant is fast-growing and nutrient-hungry, making it a vigorous choice for busy tanks, and it is easy to propagate by producing daughter plants.
It floats on the water surface and does not require CO2. It thrives in calm water with moderate to high light and benefits from added iron to achieve richer coloration. Worked like an absolute charm!
These markers were perfect for ones that we were replacing. The quality is great and they seem sturdy. The gold detail stands out and is visible from a distance. Shipping was very fast.
Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again. Hoghly recommend this shop.
