It stays very low, 1–3 inches tall, spreading 12–18 inches or more. It creeps via runners that root to form new plants. It prefers full sun and well-drained soil, tolerates some shade, and is drought-tolerant once established. Hardy in USDA zones 4–9. Uses include filling gaps between stepping stones, cascading over rock walls, or serving as a small-space lawn substitute. It attracts bees and butterflies, and the crushed leaves emit a minty fragrance.

The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
