Rare Mixed Color Wisteria Bonsai Tree Seeds can be started in a variety of containers, as long as they are at least 2–3 inches deep and have drainage holes. For DIY projects, you can use yogurt cups, milk cartons, or paper cups. Use potting soil made for growing seedlings and do not use soil from your garden or re-use potting soil from your houseplants. Some small seeds can be sprinkled on the soil surface, while larger seeds should be buried. After planting seeds, you have to moisten the newly planted seeds. To speed up germination, cover the pots with wet paper or a plastic dome; remove the cover when you see the first signs of green.
Watering and light are essential: keep the soil moist but not soggy, and let it dry slightly between waterings. Feed the seedlings regularly with liquid fertilizer. Seeds need a lot of light: set lights on a timer for 15 hours a day. If you're growing in a window, choose a south-facing exposure and rotate the pots regularly to prevent leaning. If you're growing under lights, adjust them so they are just a few inches above the tops of the seedlings, and remember that seedlings still need darkness to rest as they grow taller.
