Pinguicula Snow Queen Variegated Leaf Plant Hybrid
Pinguicula Snow Queen is an in-house hybrid of P. moranensis var. caudata and P. spec. Guatemala, named for its variegated leaves. The mother plant’s variegation has remained stable for four years. Leaf-pulling propagation will not produce variegation; division is required. The variegated areas lack chlorophyll, so avoid strong light, or white sections may bleach. Indirect light helps return variegation over time.
Plants are shipped bare root in a plastic container. Sizes: small about 0.5", medium about 1", large about 2" (sometimes larger). They are grown under LED lights at 75–80°F by day and 55–70°F at night. Care: soft light, keep soil moist in Mexican Pinguicula mix, feed every 3–4 weeks with fish food or bugs, humidity 50–80%, and 55–85°F. Mature plants reach 2–4"; no true dormancy, though a winter succulent state is possible. Heating packs recommended (1 per order). Ships Monday and Wednesday.
