The Pinguicula moranensis var. alba x emarginata is a carnivorous butterwort. The plants shown are representative, and you will receive a similar specimen that is not flowering at this time. Each plant is shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect it during transit.
In cultivation, place it on a sunny windowsill or under T5/LED lighting. Shipped plants range from 1–2 inches in diameter; with proper care, they can reach 3–4 inches. Use Mexican Pinguicula mix as potting medium. Feed with fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks. Keep soil moist, and maintain 50–80% humidity with a temperature range of 55–85°F. Dormancy is none, though plants may go succulent in winter depending on temperatures. A heating pack is strongly recommended in winter; one per order is sufficient. We ship on Monday and Wednesday to avoid weekend cutoff.
