Pinguicula moranensis f. orchidioides is a carnivorous butterwort. The plants pictured are representative, and you will receive a similar plant that is not flowering at purchase. They ship bare root in a protective plastic container and measure about 0.75–1 inch across. They have been grown under LED lights with daytime temperatures around 75–80°F and nighttime temperatures around 55–70°F. It is strongly recommended to add a heating pack during winter to protect against low temperatures; one heating pack per order is enough. Plants are shipped on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs.
Mature plant size is approximately 2–3 inches, depending on care. Light options include a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED lights. Potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula mix. Feeding should be fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks. Keep the soil moist and maintain 50–80% humidity. Temperature range is 55–85°F. Dormancy is none, though the plant may enter a succulent state during winter depending on temperatures.
