Pinguicula moctezumae x moranensis var. alba is a seed-grown carnivorous butterwort. The plants in the photos are representative, and you will receive a similar plant; seed-grown specimens may vary in flower, shape, and color. Plants are not flowering at the moment. They are shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect them, and we ship on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs. Each plant measures between 1 and 2 inches across.
Growers typically provide bright, indirect light from a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED lights, with daytime temperatures around 75–80°F and 55–70°F at night. Mature plants reach about 3–4 inches, depending on care. To protect from cold in winter, a heating pack is strongly recommended (one per order). Use Mexican Pinguicula mix as the potting medium; keep soil moist and maintain 50–80% humidity. The recommended temperature range is 55–85°F. Water and feeding: fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks; no dormancy, though plants may go into a succulent state during winter depending on temperatures.
