Pinguicula moctezumae is a perennial heterophyllous species named after Río Moctezumae in the Sierra Madre Oriental. It is found only in a small sub-canyon of the Moctezuma river, clinging to vertical limestone walls, and it was discovered during the environmental impact assessment of the Zimapan Hydroelectric Dam. The plants shown are representative, and you will receive a similar specimen. It will be shipped bare root in a plastic container to protect the plant. These plants are about 1"-1.5" tall. We ship plants Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.
Light: a sunny windowsill, or T5/LED. Potting medium: Mexican Pinguicula mix. Feeding: fish food or bugs every 3-4 weeks. Water: keep soil moist. Humidity: 50-80%. Temperature: 55-85°F. Dormancy: None, may become succulent in winter with temperature changes. Winter shipping note: heating packs recommended; one per order; not responsible for losses without heating.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
