Pinguicula martinezii x lauena is an in-house hybrid created at Rainbow in 2023. This hybrid develops pinkish to reddish tones under strong lights, with a caramelized look on the leaves, and purple flowers with a darker center when observed. Because these Pinguicula are seed-grown, flower and plant variation may occur. The photos are representative, and you will receive a similar plant; they are not flowering at the moment.
Plants ship bare-root in a plastic container to protect them. We ship Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoff. Plant size is about 1 inch in diameter. Heating packs are recommended in winter; one per order. Light: sunny windowsill, T5, or LED; potting medium: Mexican Pinguicula soil mix. Feeding: fish food or bugs every 3-4 weeks. Keep soil moist; humidity 50-80%; temperature 55-85°F; mature size 2-3 inches; dormancy: none, though winter temperatures may trigger a succulent state.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
