Pinguicula macrophylla is a perennial heterophyllous plant forming a bulb-like rosette in winter, with about 30–45 small leaves and 2–6 larger leaves in summer. It is native to Guanajuato, México and was described in 1817; macrophylla derives from Greek makros (large) and phyllon (leaf). You will receive a plant similar to the picture, with color variation. Plants ship bare root in a plastic container and depart on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid the weekend cutoff. When dormant, it becomes a bulb about 0.15–0.25 inches in diameter; you may receive a bulb if the plant is succulent.
Please note that heating during winter is strongly recommended; one heating pack per order is usually sufficient. There is no formal dormancy, but a succulent state may occur in winter depending on temperatures. Mature size is 1.5–2.5 inches, depending on care.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
