Pinguicula gigantea red x zamudioana is a hybrid that can turn red or brown under intense full-spectrum lights. It blends the red coloration of its gigantea red parent with the shape of P. zamudioana, creating a striking and delicate butterwort. Plants are about 1" in diameter and ship bare root in a plastic container to protect them. They have been grown under LED lights at 75–80°F by day and 55–70°F at night. We ship on Monday and Wednesday to avoid the weekend cut off.
For optimal growing conditions, add calcium to this hybrid. The plant's potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula mix + calcium. Light: a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED lights. Water: keep soil moist. Humidity: 50-80%. Temperature: 55-85°F. Mature plant size: 3-4" (depending on care). Dormancy: none, though it may go succulent in winter. Feeding: fish food or bugs every 3-4 weeks. A heating pack is recommended during winter to protect plants in transit; one heating pack per order is enough.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
