Pinguicula gigantea red x cyclosepta is a seed-grown hybrid from Rainbow nursery. Under intense full-spectrum lights, it can develop olive, reddish, or dark brown tones. Flowers observed are dark violet with veining, though seed-grown plants can show variation. Some plants are greener and may turn pinkish or reddish under strong light. It ships bare root in a plastic container to protect the plant, and orders ship on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend cutoffs. Each plant is about 1–2 inches in diameter.
Calcium should be added for optimal growing conditions. The recommended potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula mix plus calcium. Light: a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED lights. Feeding: fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks. Water: keep soil moist. Humidity: 50-80%. Temperature: 55-85°F. Mature size: 3-4 inches. Dormancy: none, though it may go succulent in winter depending on temperatures. For winter transit, a heating pack per order is strongly recommended to protect plants.

Good solution. The little flies have disappeared. We were sure to mist/moisten the surface of each plant once a day for 4 or 5 days, after the initial application of the nematodes, to keep the little guys mobile and able to get to any remaining eggs. So, go for it!

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping. So glad she arrived looking as beautiful as i was hoping. Also had a surprise red arrow syngonium cutting that’s beautiful. Also customer service was amazing. Will definitely order from them again.
