Pinguicula gigantea Red Winter Flush, also known as the gigantea red variegated, develops color in cooler months and stays mostly green through spring and summer. Your plant will resemble the photos, but color patterns vary by specimen. It ships bare root in a plastic container to protect the plant, and is about 1–1.5 inches in diameter. Plants are grown under LED lights with daytime temperatures around 75–80°F and nights near 55–70°F. We ship on Mondays and Wednesdays to avoid weekend delays. A heating pack is strongly recommended in winter to shield plants from cold during transit; one heating pack per order is enough.
Care basics: light from a sunny windowsill, T5, or LED lights; potting medium is Mexican Pinguicula mix; feeding with fish food or bugs every 3–4 weeks; keep soil moist; humidity 50–80%; temperature 55–85°F. Mature plants reach 6–7 inches, depending on care; dormancy is none, though the plant may go into a succulent state during winter depending on temperatures.

My new babay arrived safely and only lost two little leaves so far. The first one I ordered from different shop arrived with two leaves attached that fell off within ten minutes of unboxing and 22 leaves that had came off during shipping.
